Saint Andrew’s F.I.R.S.T. Lego League Robotics Teams

This past weekend, members of the two Saint Andrew’s F.I.R.S.T. Lego League Robotics Teams coached by Mr. Taylor Bergman, competed in a Qualifying Tournament at the South Florida Fair. The 5th-grade ScotBots, and the 4th-grade RoboScots competed against 10 local teams from Palm Beach County.

The RoboScots team consisted of Ada Zeng, Allie Kaiden, Blake Cejudo, Brandon Williams, Connor Smith, Julianna Unkel, Leonardo Schuch, Marc Loutfi, Raquel Ganc, and Ryan Katz. The ScotBots team has Braden Delgado, CJ Kravit, Connor Crage, Eli Ganc, Harper Cox, Henry Flax, and Joshua Sackel.

At the competition, each team was judged on a series of skill sets including a research project, core values, the technical build of their robot, and how many points their robot programming earned solving missions within a 2.5-minute period.

At the end of the tournament, The RoboScots won an award for the technical design of their robot,  while the ScotBots won a bid to compete at Regionals on February 25th at Palm Beach Gardens High School.

Congratulations to our students for their job well done!
